The Register
The California Regulatory Code Supplement update service for the regulations, issued weekly, contains all regulations filed with the Secretary of State. Note: in the current Barclay's official set, the texts of regulatory changes are inter-filed into the correct section. The Register appearing in volume 1 contains a Digest and Summary of those sections. Registers are numbered consecutively for each year (i.e. Register 2002, No. 1).

Notice Register or Z Register
The California Regulatory Notice Register is an additional weekly publication from the state containing notices of proposed actions of all state agencies (regulations, rulemakings, administrative decisions, etc.).

Prior to 1980 there was no index to the code. The current official set has a master index volume at the end. It includes a statutes to regulations table.

This is a UMI index covering 1980 to 1999. It includes a statutes to regulations table and an index to microfiche number table.

Older versions of California Regulations
The library has annual versions of the code and register on microfiche from 1945 to the present. They are arranged by year with the register following the code.
The library also has the superseded code sections from 1972-1989. Note: this set contains the pages taken out of the original loose-leaf code set as changes were made. They are arranged annually by title.
